issue 002 ποΈ Dubble & Circleback Launch Desktop Apps, and Notion Button Go Further
yoooooooo 'sup!
First, let me say a huge thank you to everyone who shared their excited for the launch of tech & tactics last week; and HELLO to our 36 new friends (!!) β I'm blown away, truly.
New York never sleeps, and neither does the SaaS world, because it was a busy week!
We've got several desktop app launches and feature improvements. I'm sharing a quick Zapier workflow to help you prepare better for projects, and I'm pulling back the curtain and building a client project on livestream with them in the call! π You don't want to miss it.
Last thing before I let you dive in⦠I would love to learn what's in your tech stack. Mind hitting the reply button and sharing the dirty details with me?

Dubble launches: Mac desktop beta, public API and screen recording across tabs on Chrome Extension!
Phew! What a week for updates. If you didn't know, Paperform's co-founder Dean, built Dubble, a recording tool for creating SOPs. Since acquisition by Paperform, Dubble has been dropping updates like nobody's business, and the features just keep getting better. IMO THIS is how you grow a SaaS tool - by continually improving the product, not just following trending features.
Notion updates Buttons to allow external link use!
Previously buttons could only complete in-app actions, and due to an overwhelming amount of requests in our Ambassador community, they've been updated! This is great for a variety of uses especially for those using Notion to create Sites, or hubs to link outside resources.
Circleback.ai releases Desktop app for Mac & Windows!
I really can't hold back my excitement for this launch, not only because I'm obsessed with Circleback as an AI note-taking tool, but because this desktop app now allows you to record meetings without a bot sitting in the call, get notified of upcoming calls & join with a single click, and they now support all meeting platforms from Google Meet to Teams and Discord. I know Circleback is an investment, but now with the app, it's well-worth the cost to not see the bot recorder in calls alone.
Usually kickoff calls (or strategy sessions) are the first interaction with a client and are used to better understand pain points & goals in order to develop the perfect solution for a project. However, I've heard from many teams that they often forget to allot time to prepare for this call, and either end up double-booked or worse, under-prepared.
To fix this, I built a simple Zapier workflow you can steal to streamline prep and avoid scheduling conflicts. The Zap is triggered by new calls, then creates a 30-minute block immediately prior to the call so you never go unprepared again!
Tomorrow, I'm hosting a #BuildWithMe livestream on Youtube, Twitter, and LinkedIn. You'll get a full behind the scenes look at how I work with clients to strategize their project, and then implement those goals.
My dear friend Abhi (Funds & Founders Podcast) and I will be building a production tracker in Notion for his podcast. Join us Wednesday, 9/25 at 10AM CST (click social links above to get notified). Replay will be available immediately.
P.S. My episode on Funds & Founders will be live soon. It's a don't miss!
That's it for this week!
