issue 005 šŸ—žļø Tally's Data Retention and Cal.com's Rolling Date features, quarterly biz update and fixing a bottleneck

Yoooooooooo ā€˜sup! This week, weā€™re tack-a-lackinā€™ a few items from Tally Formsā€™ new data retention and cal.comā€™s rolling dates features, to my quarterly business update and lastly a vulnerable tutorial video on solving my own bottleneck.

Cal.com releases Rolling Dates feature

Now when toggling on ā€œLimit future bookingsā€, users now have the ability to use Rolling Dates by checking the ā€œalways [ ] days availableā€. If Iā€™m being honest, Iā€™m not sure how useful (or needed) this feature is. From what I can see in my demo, it actually opens up MORE availability than just the initial future booking limit.

Tally Forms releases automatic data retention feature

This new feature helps you manage data more easily and stay privacy-compliant. Simply set a retention period for your form, and the submissions will be automatically deleted.

Once a quarter, Iā€™ll share business updates with you. Hereā€™s whatā€™s going on at _systmsā„¢ that Iā€™m excited about!

  • Projects Recap | This quarter was a season of small projects and reminded me how much I love quick impact work ā€” that not every project has to be a huge undertaking. I built a Detention Tracker for a private high school; developed a workspace for an HBCU grant writer; strategized a data funnel for a sex-ed nonprofit; created a company wiki for a VC firm; and consulted for an executive coaching business (just to name a few).

  • systmsOSā„¢ is 90% ready to launch. systmsOSā„¢ is an all-in-one business hub for freelancers & founders that can be set up in an afternoon using our templates & guides. Users can choose from DIY or Done-For-You options starting at $197. Learn more & pre-order here.

  • Our superSYSTMSā„¢ got a massive update! My goal in 2025 is to release one new playbook per quarter. These are usually developed during a #BuildWithMe livestream, and then released. Our most recent build is the Production Hub for Podcasters. Want to come on and have something built? Shoot me an email.

  • Upcoming free workshop! On Thursday, November 7th, Iā€™m hosting my first workshop in over two years! Iā€™ll be discussing the importance of having a Data Center ā€” not just a basic CRM ā€” for your business to leverage when building relationships, making sales, and scaling. RSVP here.

Itā€™s not easy admitting when you are the bottleneck in your own business ā€” for me, my biggest pain point is not remembering to reply to emails (even though I read them the second the landed in my inbox). So I finally did something about it, and built a workflow in Zapier using ChatGPT to draft and send responses PLUS add tasks to my calendar from the email where applicable.

That's it for this week!
