đź’¬ Slack Updates - November 2024
A lot of updates coming out of Slack this week including;
1) Template Gallery - users can grab a variety of templates for channels, canvases, lists, and automated workflows to jumpstart work.
2) Fonts - users can now change fonts in Slack to improve reading on mobile and desktop.
3) coming soon: designated channels for flagged messages will be retired on 12/3/24. If you use a designated channel for flagged messages, they will be reviewable only from the admin dashboard moving forward.
🎨 Notion - Updated Text Toolbar
Notion’s toolbar, specifically the color picker, has gotten a facelift. The select dropdown has been consolidated to half its size, and no longer contains descriptions of each option — something that many are unhappy about for accessibility issues (i.e. colorblindess), and I agree. This is one of the reasons I don’t use dark mode because it’s difficult to see the colors given how light/almost transparent they are. It’s the same situation here with the Background Colors as the orange and yellow are similar hues. What’s your take on this change?
